Golf
Ball Drop - April 19, 2008
The Star City VFD is hosting a "golf ball drop" fundraiser.
Tickets are $20. Each ticket gets one golf ball entered
into the drop. The balls will be dropped on April 19,
2008. Four prizes will be given out. Closest to hole
- 2nd Closest - 3rd Closest - Farthest from hole

may not know, the Star City VFD is a non-profit, ALL VOLUNTEER
organization that provides the primary fire and rescue services
for your residence and the surrounding area. We have been able
to remain completely volunteer since our charter in 1939. As a
private, non-profit organization a large percentage of our
annual operating costs are covered by the generous donations
from people like yourself. The importance of your donation this
year is more important that ever due to the increase in funds
required to finance our everyday operations. Your donation will
help the fire department continue to provide an excellent
service to you and other residents of Monongalia County. As
always, any contribution you are able to make is greatly
appreciated.

Attention all you patch collectors out there!! The SCVFD
is offering our uniform patch for sale to you. The actual
patch is an embroidered patch which features a design created by
our own Gary Freshour. The picture below is an online
