The Star City VFD was alerted for a working vehicle fire with
possible exposures at 18:59. Engine 201 and Unit 202 both
responded. Engine 201 was first to arrive on scene at 19:08 and
reported a fully involved vehicle fire, still in the roadway.
The blaze was located about 30 feet from adjacent trailers.
Initially a 1 1/2" cross lay was used to knock down the fire,
then a foam pro pack with AFFF was used to completely extinguish
the fire. Bakers Ridge Road was closed while firefighters
extinguished the fire. Units remained on scene for the
tow-truck and cleared at 20:12. There were no injuries and no
other property damage reported as result of the fire.
