It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of one of our lifetime SCVFD members, William “Bill” Garvin.
Bill was more than just a member of our department—he was a cornerstone of our community and a true example of dedication and selflessness. Over the years, Bill served not only as a volunteer firefighter but also as a leader, holding numerous roles including Treasurer and EMS Administrator. His unwavering commitment to the success of SCVFD and the safety of our community was evident in everything he did.
Even after his official “retirement,” Bill continued to dedicate his time and energy to the department, assisting with bookkeeping and administrative work. His tireless efforts behind the scenes were a testament to his deep love for this community and his desire to see SCVFD thrive.
Bill’s impact on our department and community is immeasurable, and his loss will be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
Rest easy, Bill. Your legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone at SCVFD and in the community you served so faithfully.
